Alex..I can't say I like this place at all. I don't understand why we came here, this place seems dark and that isn't just because it's during the night. Alex took the Demon's words into play, but of course he would never allow him to know. "Be quiet Al. The day I ask your opinion has yet to come. We are here because we must be, because I had to come." Alex gripped the rim of his coat, jerking it around as he attempted to dry it off from the rain. He glanced around, just outside the entrance. "That being said, it is rather dark here. Be ready Al, we're going in." Alex allowed his right arm to stretch over his shoulder, his hand gripping the long hilt of his sword. It's touch always seemed to put him at ease. He began to draw the blade from the sheath across his back. He felt a tight grip on the weapon, holding it from release. "Al release it, if what you say is true we must be prepared." He could tell that Al could sense his anger towards the Demon. The blade was released.
Do you actually think that whatever slumbers here is afraid of a sword? We are going to die in this place. The sword began to rest over Alex's shoulder, his hand firmly on the hilt. "I was called to this place Al, I do not think that would have been the case if anyone in there wanted us dead." His feet began to move slowly, his free hand pressed against the large double doors as he leaned in, having to put some strength into the push. If that is not the case, then why the sword? His eyes shifted over to his shoulder as he glanced at the large blade. "Shut up Al.."
"You thought the outside seemed dark?" Alex had to quickly adjust his eyes to a darker setting. He meant it as a joke of course but he still felt on edge. The room was very dark, besides a few torches that seemed to do battle with the shadow around them. A few tables and chairs lay spread across the large hall, but his attention was on the bird at the far corner, seeming to sit atop the rim of a large fountain. You see the bird too? "Yes of course I see it you fool." His words were lower then before, almost a whisper. Good job getting out the sword, he looks really scared. "By god Al be quiet!" He growled through his teeth, walking closer. The bird seemed to be a Raven, with very odd eyes. He was just sitting there. "Hello there my little friend, I am looking for the owner of this fine place? Can you help me?" I think he's just a simple bird that flew in from some window. Alex glanced around once more, awaiting anyone, or anything that would come to him.
