Hello, Aleria here with a few rules and guidelines to be followed when posting in the forums.
Non-RP:
Proper spelling and grammar please! The occasional typo is understandable, but please refrain from the use of text/IM language.
No excessive profanities. A word here and there is okay, but a whole paragraph/post riddled with curses is not.
Be respectful. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it is important to know when not to express them. If somehow you offend someone, at least apologize and remove the post, or the mods will.
Respect the rules, both mine and those the poster of a a topic/RP has laid down. Read what the whole post says to avoid confusion, and if you need clarification, send them a dialogue. Simple as that.
If you are for some reason banned - Don't contest it and complain. This will only result in a longer ban and more hard feelings than necessary. This goes for CHAT and the Forum.
RP:
Be literate.
Respect the poster's requests and rules.
Try to make posts at least five (5) lines or more, essentially a paragraph.
Read the OOC for all RP's you intend to participate in, as they will include character sheets (bios) as well as conversations about that RP. Plus, it's a great way to get to know other people... OOC!
Have fun. Remember, we are all here to have a good time, try not to ruin it for others. Karma will just bite you in the ass in the end. I'm not saying don't fight, even we immortals have our quarrels, and I do not object to you having your enemies within the coven. My advice? Take it to the sparring grounds and don't get others involved unless they want to be.
NO GOD MODDING. This means that you MUST take a hit once in awhile, even the best cannot dodge absolutely everything. Your powers cannot be completely unblockable - if I see something I think crosses the line, I will call it.
NO POWER PLAYS. You control your character, and your character only. Your hit can be aimed at them, but you cannot say it hits them. You can push them, but you cannot be the one to say they fall. ANY infringements will result in a warning.
Three strikes and you're out. If you're new to RP, say so, and we will set up a training RP to get you used to it. However, if we get no warning that you're new and infringe on the rules, your account will be banned for a period of time at the mods discretion.
