Please do not have more than one spar going on at a given time. All posts in this thread follow the same line. Patiently wait your turn before beginning your spar.
At first glance, the sparring grounds beneath the fortress seem to be plain, in fact, they’re just four polished walls of pure black stone, windowless and dark. However, a series of switches allow the room to be transformed into a true training ground. The dark ceiling pulls up and back to form a tall vaulted roof, while hidden behind the walls are rows weapons of every kind, and armours to suit as well. The floor pulls back in section, allowing practice dummies to rise up from beneath the floor. Hidden traps emerge from all angles to form the most challenging obstacle course, only able to be completed by someone more than human. On a regular day, it is a simple room, lit only by candles that sit along the walls on the floor and outline the sparring area. Tatami mats are laid down and the ceiling towers above. The walls remain smooth, save for rings placed at even intervals both vertically and horizontally. Racks of weapons line the wall closest to the entrance, and on the opposite, a row of five straw dummies. Beams cross at the point where the ceiling begins to round out, chains hanging at varying lengths from each. Finally, pillars stand around the room, made of black veined marble, they glisten in the low candle light. The floor does not call for blood but for sweat, though it bars no holds.
